In 2017, a huge festival was launched in Morocco, Casablanca under the auspices of Mrs. Hanna Nasr. Shaima Al-Arabi, crowned as Miss Arab World Morocco for the year 2017, and won the title of first runner-up Sophia El Saghr  and second runner-up Rokaya after 16 girls representing many Moroccan cities competed. The jury included Imad Al-Natifi, the artist Hekmat, the Egyptian dancer Najwa Fouad, the Egyptian artist Issam Karika, the head of the Tourism Festival in Egypt Hanan Nasr, the Moroccan actress and model Zainab Obeid. The ceremony included a fashion show by Moroccan fashion designer Naima Mantiti.
